🔗 Share this article Toy Story 5 Trailer Sets Woody and Buzz Against a Tablet Computer It has been 30 anniversary since the original Toy Story film was released, establishing Pixar as a major animation studio and bringing audiences to beloved figures like Woody (the actor) and the space ranger (Tim Allen), who are now household names. In 2026, the fifth installment is set to arrive. The first teaser trailer for Toy Story 5 landed recently, offering a brief look into the storyline but leaving fans wondering how it will resolve the ending of Toy Story 4. The Latest Addition: A Frog-Shaped Tablet Frightens the Gang In the teaser shows Bonnie — who received the toy collection when he grew up — receiving a brand new plaything, one that terrifies the familiar toy group. She acquires her initial digital gadget, and she is excited about it. Presumably, the frog-shaped tablet will animate just like the rest of her playthings. Still, the toys appear to consider it as a threat intending to supplant them, which it likely will. Woody's Return: Mysteries from Toy Story 4 An element the trailer avoids is what Woody is back with his companions in the child's bedroom. The finale of Toy Story 4 depicted him embark on a fresh journey with Bo Peep (the actress), traveling with a fair and helping giveaway items find good homes. Surely, Pixar will address the consequences of Toy Story 4 in the movie. Seeing him appear in Bonnie's room unexpectedly is a little strange, though. It also makes us wonder whether Bo Peep will have returned with him. And what about Duke Caboom (the star)? Continuity from the Last Installment Fortunately, some elements are continuing from the earlier movie. The final act Woody did before departing for his fresh path was pass his sheriff badge to the cowgirl (Joan Cusack), entrusting her as the leader of the toy domain. In the teaser shows the badge attached to her shirt. It is hoped she is remains the driving force among the group. Toy Story 5 debuts on June 19, 2026.
